You are so sweet

You sleep a lot right now, which is very typical of a newborn...you are just like your Mom was when she was a baby. And as you can see from the pictures...everyone wants to hold you!

You were born today

So on Oct 1, almost TWO full weeks after your due date your Momma texted me that she was having contractions. At 2:00 that day I came to your house and played with your sisters in the backyard for a while and then we went to the store and to dinner.  At 3:15 the midwife gave your Momma her first teaspoon of caster oil...by 6:30 the contractions were 3 - 4 minutes apart.  I was upstairs with all your sisters in the bathroom giving them bathes, while you were being born.  I could hear Momma crying in labor pains so I turned the music on my phone and turned it up high before any of your sisters could hear!  You were born at 7 o'clock weighing in just 2 oz. under 10 lbs!  You were 21 1/2 inches long...out of all my grandchildren I believe you are the longest and the biggest.

In this little picture it looks like you are almost smiling...you were literally hours old when I took this picture of you in my lap.

We couldn't believe it when we saw you long your thumb nail was..but then again you were two weeks late. :)

Here I was holding you on the day you were born...I absolutely adore you and I am so thankful to the Lord for creating you and blessing our family with you!

A quilt for you

So I made this super cute quilt for you. I fell in love with the 'I love you' cursive and the black, pink, grey motif.

I hope you enjoy it and get lots of use out of it.  I made it just for you!

Waiting to meet you!

Today is September 29, 2016.  The midwife said your arrival date would be Sept 18 and so 11 days later we are still waiting to meet you.  Today Momma got to have a sonogram of you, the doctor said you were 8lbs and 12 oz.  They said there was a lot of room and there and that you were growing and enjoying the space.  So I continue to pray for your safe arrival and that you are healthy.  I pray for Momma to have an easy delivery.  I can't wait to meet you.  I just found this verse and it made me think of God and his wonderful works He is doing as He creates you!

“For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb. I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.”

Psalm 139:13-16

It's official

Well hi there baby girl!

Today Mommy and Daddy got your first picture taken!  Your scheduled due date is Sept 18, 2016.  Everyone went to find out if you were a boy or a girl...and you can see by the pink that you are a girl...I have to tell you we are all tickled PINK!

You can see in this picture how happy everyone is to meet you.  I know you are a blessing from God.  We all eagerly await your arrival.  Love you already sweet girl.
